The main study area of GAME Tropics (GAME-T) is considered to be the Chao Phyara river basin in Thailand. The area of the river basin seems to be too small for studies with global data products. On the other hand, some of intensive observations were conducted outside it, mainly in the Mekong basin. The Mekong basin is very elongated, and the upper part of it is in the Tibetan Plateau. The delta region was not intensively observed. In this respect, I included the part of Mekong river basin delimited by two river gauge stations at Chiang Saen (Thailand) and Pakse (Laos).
